Thru Sept 1: Italian Futurism 1909 - 1949 & Thannhauser Collection

First time exhibit in U.S. of Italian Futurism with 300 works beginning w/ 1909 manifesto and ending after WWII.

Ongoing: Thannhausers

Two generations of Thannhausers, who opened the Modern Gallerie in Munich in 1909, and a second in 1917 in Lucerne, promoted the arts in a manner comparable to Guggenheim. Due to the Nazi purge of 'degenerate art' they closed in 1937 and left for Paris, eventually settling in NYC.

July - Spring 2015: Kandinsky Before Abstractionism 1901 - 1911

New exhibit about Kandinsky's early work in print making and conceptualization.

September 21: Can The World's Largest Climate Change March Change The World?

Begins at 11.30 am. Begins at Columbus Circle, heads east along 59th Street, south onto 6th Avenue & west onto 42nd Street, turns south again at 11th Avenue and ends between 38th & 34th Street in Manhattan. The UN has some role in this as one of the primary topics at the General Assembly this year is addressing climate change before it's too late.
