While generally Manhattan Street Fairs begin in April, last year [2025] we started going year round by including the winter months. We started by identifying some of the year round markets, which while not exactly street fairs, contain some of the elements of the street fair experience including an eclectic offering of merchandise and food items. This year [2026] we'll be adding new markets each week, to each month, representing the addition of dozen(s) of new listings - not shown at the beginning of each month.

We've compiled one of THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE SCHEDULE of MANHATTAN street fairs including street fair TIMES & PHOTOS & maps, some street fair names & sponsors, and street fair maps to help you find your way around during the winter, spring, summer and fall of 2026.

This year Only ASTERISKED street fairs have been been updated. The street fairs with prior year dates, reflect the information regarding that fair in a prior year.

UNCONFIRMEDS. The 'UNCONFIRMEDS' represent street fairs held in a prior year, which we believe are returning, but for which we have not yet confirmed the details some or all of the details for 2026.

• Ending Saturday & Sunday, January 11 & 12, 2025 from 11 am to 2 pm - Mulchfest NYC - at various parks in all five boros around NYC. Mulch your Christmas trees, wreaths and similar items into wood chips you can take home for your garden or donate to the park to use for their grounds. Free.   • Mulchfest is an NYC Parks Department program to recycle Christmas trees and wreaths by mulching them and then either keeping the mulch to be used in NYC Parks or returning the mulch to the tree donor for them to use in their garden or house plants. The Mulchfest sites in each borough are: Brook Park in the Bronx, Prospect Park in Brooklyn, Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan, Juniper Valley Park in Queens and Cloves Lake Park on Staten Island.

• * Friday, January 5, 2024 from 11 am - 12 noon, 47th Annual Three Kings Parade at El Museo del Barrio at 1230 5th Avenue between 104th and 105th Streets. The parade begins at 106th along Park Avenue, ending at 115th Street in Harlem. The parade includes camels, floats and music and is free. • January 17, 18, 19 & 20, 2025 - Martin Luther King Day Weekend - Things to do MLK / Martin Luther King Day Weekend in Manhattan NYC

• * Thursday, January 11, 2024 beginning at 11 pm, Joe Lovano & Shabaka help kick off Winter Jazzfest at Dizzy's at Jazz at Lincoln Center [aka JALC] at 10 Columbus Circle in Manhattan. • Saturday, February 8, 2025 beginning at 10.30 pm - NY Chinese Free Masons Athletic Club [NYCFAC] Lion Dance - in Chinatown, south of Canal along Bowery Street at Pell Street / Chatham Square. About 20 groups of Lion dancers parade around Chinatown blessing and eating offerings. NYCFAC is only one of the 20 plus groups and each is responsible for obtaining the 5th Precinct parade permit. This is a good chance to mingle with the Lion Dancers vs the Chinese New Year Parade next weekend 2/16 where attendees are held behind the NYPD barricades. • Midtown _ Sunday, April 20, 2025 from 10 am - 4 pm - Easter & Easter Bonnet Parade. The parade takes place along 5th Avenue from 49th to 57th Streets with the epicenter in front of St Patrick's Cathedral. It's more of a milling about in bonnets and Easter outfits, than it is a real parade. More like a themed costume party.

In 2023 the theme was 'women, life, freedom' which I reckon was in honor of those women seeking freedom from the Supreme Dictator in Iran. I don't see any theme referenced for this year. One of the oldest plant fairs in the city, offering a huge array of plants, food and live music.

• Chelsea / East Village _ Saturday, May 17, 2025 beginning at 11.45 am - the Dance Parade - begins at 17th Street and 6th Avenue in Chelsea. It marches down along Sixth Avenue to 8th Street where it turns left / east and heads into Tompkins Square Park in the East Village. • Midtown _ Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 12 noon - 3 pm - Asian American Pacific Islander Parade - 3rd parade - The opening ceremony is at 12.30 pm and the parade begins at 1 pm. AAPI is comprised of thirty ethnic groups, speaking 50 different languages. Marching up 6th Avenue from West 44th to West 53rd streets in Midtown. • Saturday, Sunday & Monday, May 27, 28 & 29, 2023 from 12 noon to 6 pm - The Washington Square Outdoor Art Exhibit in the Village runs along University Place from East 13th Street and continuing south along the east side of Washington Square Park to West 3rd Street.  The southern end of the show encompasses Schwartz Plaza, (aka Bobkin Lane), between NYU's Shimkin Hall and Bobst Library.
